I'm wondering if it's possible to allow the creation of dynamic containers to allow ad hoc pushing using cURL? Something to simulate an "Add Section" button click, typing details, "Save Changes" button click, and "Soft Reset" button click. Similar to (spaces added for readability):
"Command=AddContainer &Container=<new container> &Path=<full path to directory> &Type=Video &SoftReset=Yes"
This would be followed up with:
"Command=Push &Container=<new container> &File=/<some file> &tsn=<some Tivo>" and optionally:
"Command=DeleteContainer &Container=<new container> &Type=Video &SoftReset=Yes"
I don't know how disruptive a Soft Reset is regarding existing transfers, or if it would be required for adding/removing a dynamic container. The preference would be to NOT write the container information to pyTivo.conf, and allowing the dynamic container to exist only for the duration of the life of the pyTivo address space, a soft reset is performed, or until an explicit "DeleteContainer" command is issued. If it were remain persistent through a soft reset is of little importance. Whether a dynamic container is displayed in the list of containers on the home page would be of little importance as well.
