Shoot I am very stumped by this.
When you ran it on your wife's computer you still got nothing when you used:

Is it possible you have a virus scanner or something similar that could be the same on both your computer and your wife's that is blocking this?

I had the same problem when I installed pyTiVo... I had been using TiVo.Net, but got excited by the option for folders in Now Playing.
I stopped the TiVo.Net service, installed the latest python and Windows Installer version 2008.03.02 of pyTiVo (as a service). During setup, I pointed pyTiVo to the folder of folders of file shortcuts that I had been using for TiVo.Net. I went to my Now Playing list and saw my "PC Transfers" at the bottom. I could see the subfolders, but they all appeared empty. I figured pyTiVo could not follow shortcuts so, I went to the web config and pointed pyTiVo to a folder of just video files... I also tried turning on the auto-subfolder option and reseting pyTiVo. I went back to Now Playing and nothing showed up.
Nothing I did would make "PC Transfers" come back. I tried restarting the computer, restarting the TiVo, restarting the pyTiVo service, uninstalling and reinstalling. I finally gave up and tried to get TiVo.Net going again, but it would not show up either!! After uninstalling both pyTiVo and TiVo.Net and restarting a couple of time and then reinstalling TiVo.Net it is finally back!
Now I am scared to try pyTiVo again! |

Kevin,
Did you delete the new topic you are referring to? PyTivo will no longer show up on one of my 2 S3's since this weekend. I have to reboot the computer to get it to show up, but after I access pytivo from the other S3, it stops showing up on my other S3. Don't know if I have a problem with that computer or not. When I get chance I'll try launching pytivo from my other computer to see if I have the same problem. _________________ Download pyTivo

Ahh, nevermind. Seems to be a some kind of conflict with the BWMeter software I have been using to limit transfer speeds to avoid pixelation. Curious that it is now only affecting one tivo though. _________________ Download pyTivo
