Here are some documents that anyone wanting to develop for pyTivo, or any other HMO server, should read -- the official HMO specifications from TiVo. I post them here because their page on TiVo's web site is broken. Could this please be made a sticky?

TiVoConnectDiscovery.pdf
 Description:
This describes how TiVos and other HMO clients and servers find one another. (NOT Zeroconf, as is used by the later HME system.)

 Description:
This describes the basics of the HMO protocol, and goes into detail about Music and Photos. Video is not specifically covered (we have to reverse-engineer that), but the general principles still apply.
