Yes, you have to make one.
Steps? Uh...
1. Install ffmpeg.
2. Unzip pyTivo.
3. Make pyTivo.conf.
4. ./pyTivo.py
5. Profit!
Although, the archive you reference seems to require mencoder rather than ffmpeg... _________________ My pyTivo fork . My page |

okay so for ffmpeg, i need to stick to using the pytivo zips that say "master" in them and have the newst dates?
also i followed the steps but i cant get a http: page. note i have set my port to 9050 but still no page? I'm not ever sure pytivo is running. Does pytivo run in ubuntu at startup by default? or do i need to start it up?

Would someone please provide a DETAILED set of instructios for non Linux probrammers; on how to install pyTiVo in Ubuntu. This should also include instructions on getting pyTiVo to auto start.
THe instructdions given expect the user to know Linux.

Any install instructions are going to expect the user to know a little about the OS.
Did you check the my link above? That post has my step-by-step instructions, at least what I considered to be detailed.
What part are you having trouble with? _________________ pyTiVo on Ubuntu 11.10 (Oneiric) |
