I'm using a git-pull of wmcbrine's branch from about New Year's with a Tivo HD.
My media is hierarchical. After navigating into Server/Dir/File, I noticed the two arrows that mean you can move up & down to the neighboring files at that level. I was surprised because Server/Dir/File was right below Server/Dir/Dir2 when viewed from the level above. On the TiVo, I only see those arrows where you can't go down another level.
I clicked UP from Server/Dir/File attempting to navigate into Server/Dir/Dir2 and the TiVo rebooted. I repeated the experiment and it rebooted again.
Hmm. Now I have to figure out how to turn on logging via my start-stop-daemon script and consider whether I want to share what vids are in my media files.
Can you tell me, when it failed to reproduce, did you not see the arrows? Or what happened when you tried to go UP?
It occurs to me that "UP" might be confusing.
After navigating to Server/Dir, I see
Code:
Group (Servername)
Dir (15)
File1
Dir2
File2
File3
File4
...
If it matters "Dir2" has spaces and non-ascii chars.
I navigated into File2 (the "Transfer this recording" screen) and saw the up & down arrows on the right hand side.
I navigated screen up (not folder hierarchy up) towards Dir2 and had the reboot.

"Up" was not confusing. But your directory layout is a bit clearer now. In that context -- a file next to a folder, both within a folder (i.e. not on the top level) -- I can reproduce it.
Whether I can do anything about it, is another question... _________________ My pyTivo fork . My page
