I have noticed that with pyTiVo that sorting is different than that used by the TiVo itself or with TD.
Example... I had 11 MPG2 files in a particular folder on my computer named:
1. Show
2. Show
3. Show
4. Show
5. Show
6. Show
7. Show
8. Show
9. Show
10. Show
11. Show.
Prior to using pyTiVo and using Tivo Desktop They showed up on my list in numerical order. However, with PyTiVo the list shows as follows:
10. Show
1. Show
11. Show
2. Show
3. Show
4. Show
5. Show
6. Show
7. Show
8. Show
9. Show.
This applies PRIOR to the show being transfered TO the TiVo. Once the 11 shows are transfered to the Tivo They go back to being shown in numerical order.
Anyway to fix this? as I have a folder with almost 500 MPG2 files listed in numerical order from 1. to 500. and they aren't being listed that way.
But, I hadn't realized that TiVo Desktop sorted that way. I guess I have to consider reviving that code after all... _________________ My pyTivo fork . My page
Not a bad idea... However.. my shows aren't really named the same thing...
IE...
1. The beggining
2. I am there
3. This isn't episode 4
4. Maybe next Time
5. You think I was here
6. The time before next
7. Day after tommorrow isn't today
8. Im the show before the next
9. where aren't I
10. Wow!
11. Kiss the cat good morning.
See what I am saying... So putting the "Episode #" after the show name doesn't really put them in the order that I wish. and Im not really fond of putting Zero's (0) before single digit numbers as well. Especially when the show name is allready long and gets truncated by TiVo anyways.
Don't get me wrong. Im not complaing. I was just asking a question if there was a setting on how it sorts.
