OK, I've got the "time" metadata keyword working again (in a new way -- startTime and stopTime are now always based on the "time" value, which means it has to be parsed). While I was there, I added a couple of new keywords that can be used in the "time" field instead of an ISO date/time: "File", and "OAD" (for "originalAirDate"). If you use one of these, the time will be based on either the file's date/time or the defined originalAirDate (which defaults to the file's date/time if not specified). The idea is to use these in default.txt files, so that all the files in a directory get transferred that way, without having to add the time to each one's metadata.

Neat!

What do you think about making default.txt recursive (i.e. affect subfolders) or allowing some feature where you can define a share-default.txt for a given share so that it would affect all sub-directories in the share (and skip having to do the recursive search up the tree for default.txt when processing metadata)?

I think a shared recursice default.txt is a great idea.

I would keep it default.txt, like it is now.

Add a:

recursive = true

to it to be recursive thru subdirectories UNDER the current path.
